Corporate Safety/Risk Manager

A mid-sized HVAC mechanical engineering contractor/builder headquartered in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Safety/Risk Manager to build and oversee the corporate safety program.  The company has operations in Southern California and is opening new operations in the Washington, D.C. metro area.  We are not seeking a project-level safety manager, but candidates who have built and led successful corporate safety programs that had a significant impact on improving the overall safety and injury record in a construction company.  We would like the candidate to be an effective trainer, coach and mentor of safety and risk management within the organization.  We are also seeking candidates who have managed the worker's comp claim and OSHA processes and have been successful limiting claim exposure and payouts.   The candidate must fit within this entrepreneurial and "safety first" culture while building successful and effective relationships with construction managers, field safety personnel and the field.  The position will report to either the President or Vice President of the comany.

Candidates should possess at least an A.A. degree and preferably a Bachelor's degree in a related field.  The candidate must be computer skilled in using MSOffice programs and prepare reports with applicable programs.  Excellent interpersonal and communications skills a must.
